NY Transco Files Phase I Env. Management & Construction Plan

New York Transco has submitted its Phase I Environmental Management & Construction Plan for the New York Energy Solution electric transmission upgrade project to the New York State Public Service Commission.

This submittal includes plans and specifications for environmental protections and construction of the Churchtown Switching Station,  Churchtown Shoofly and Baker Road Laydown Yard, all in the Town of Claverack, and the Falls Industrial Park Road Laydown Yard in the Town of Ghent. The activities detailed are planned to begin in March 2021, pending regulatory approvals. Public comments on the plan are being accepted by the PSC through Nov. 30, 2020.
