New York Energy Solution Reaches 500,000 Injury-free Hours

New York Transco’s New York Energy Solution electric transmission modernization project through the Capital and Hudson Valley regions has reached 500,000 worker-hours without an OSHA-Recordable Injury.

“What an absolutely phenomenal performance on the part of Transco employees, our partners with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and all of our contractors,” said New York Transco President Vic Mullin. “We established safety as our number-one priority on the day we were awarded the project, and our team has demonstrated that commitment every hour of every day ever since.

“We work with high-voltage electrical lines and massive pieces of equipment and machinery for hours on end. We work through hot, humid summers and the challenges of Hudson Valley winters. I can’t say often enough how much I appreciate and respect the safety and professionalism of this team, as we work to build this important piece of New York’s clean energy infrastructure.”
