Work on the New York Energy Solution is progressing well and on-schedule, with new modern monopole structures being erected in the northern portion. Here are some photos charting our progress in the Towns of Schodack and Stuyvesant. Similar activities are, or will be, taking place in all 11 corridor communities between now and the end of 2023.  Churchtown “Shoofly” Takes Shape

The first new structures of the New York Energy Solution project are now standing in Claverack. Three new structures have been built near the existing Churchtown Switching Station and will carry a temporary bypass electric line (known as a “shoofly”) around the station while it is de-energized and rebuilt. The new Churchtown Switching Station is scheduled to be in operation in the spring of 2022. Here’s a look at the assembly of the new structures. You can click the photos to enlarge.
