Information From Neighboring Farmers is Important

Transco4.jpg

Farming is a time-honored tradition in New York and an important part of the economy. Much of the land surrounding the existing utility-owned transmission corridor in the Hudson Valley — and even some of the utility-owned lands themselves — are used for agricultural purposes.

New York Transco is committed to working with area farmers to minimize disruption to agriculture lands and activities during the construction of the New York Energy Solution project, and has designated Agriculture Inspector Jim Fricke to serve as the primary liasion with the agriculture community. Anyone with agriculture-related questions about the NYES project is encouraged to contact Jim at (475) 215-0382 or jnfricke@burnsmcd.com.

Our Agricultural Land Use Survey

To gain a full understanding of how and when these agricultural lands are used, our community outreach team continues to engage adjoining property owners individually and in groups to introduce our project, answer any questions and distribute our Agricultural Land Use Survey.

Anyone conducting agricultural activities on the utility corridor who has not yet been in touch with our project team is asked to contact us, toll-free, at 855-433-3611 or by email at info@ny-es.com.
