Engineering & Design

The NYES team continues to work on engineering and design to achieve transmission system needs, while minimizing impact to the surrounding areas. This area of work is the keystone of the project. Components of this work typically of most interest to the public and abutting properties include the spotting or placement of transmission structures and assets, the spans between the structures, the sag of the transmission lines, and similar project details. Engineering and design efforts are specific throughout the permitting and construction processes.
